Established in 2011, draftsmith is a technical drawing workshop providing expert advice and draughting services to architects, engineers, and contractors.

We utilise Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit on both new build and refurbishment developments in the residential, commercial, retail, leisure and education sectors.

Our experience allows us to ask the right questions, adopt a flexible approach, and deliver the job in hand.

I’m Chris, Director at draftsmith, and I’ve been working as an AutoCAD and Revit Technician for 20 years within structural design consultancies.

As an Engineering Technician, registered with the Engineering Council UK, and a Technician Member of the Institution of Structural Engineers, I have a wealth of experience creating drawings and models for projects of all shapes, sizes, and materials.

I appreciate the challenge of presenting technical information in a style that’s understandable to all - hopefully you will enjoy some of the work displayed here on the site.

When I’m not drawing on the computer, I’m enjoying time with my young family or walking my rosette winning Rough Collie (that’s a Lassie dog to you and me) Ziggy.
